April 13: The Cross and Suffering

Scripture:
“For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.”
—Philippians 1:29 (NKJV)

Reflection:
The cross teaches us that suffering is not meaningless. Jesus suffered to bring life and redemption, and as His followers, we are sometimes called to walk through suffering too. But our pain has purpose. In the shadow of the cross, even suffering can become sacred.

Prayer:
Lord, when I face hardship, help me to see it through the lens of the cross. Let me trust that You are working even in my suffering. Use every trial to draw me closer to You and to reflect Your glory. Amen.
