April 21: Jesus Calls Us by Name

Scripture: John 20:16 (NKJV)

Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).

Reflection

Mary Magdalene, lost in grief, doesn’t recognize Jesus until He speaks her name. The resurrection is personal—Jesus knows us intimately and calls us to Himself. His voice turns sorrow into joy, inviting us to a deeper relationship. Listen for His call today and respond with trust.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank You for knowing and calling me by name. Open my heart to hear Your voice and follow You. May Your resurrection fill me with joy today. Amen.
