April 14 – The Cross and Servanthood
April 14: The Cross and Servanthood
Scripture:
“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
 —Matthew 20:28 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Jesus didn’t come to be exalted, but to serve—and the cross was the ultimate act of service. When we look at the cross, we see a Savior who laid aside His rights to serve and save. As His followers, we are called to the same: a life of humility and service.
Prayer:
Jesus, You came not to be served but to serve. Teach me to follow Your example. Make me a servant in heart, not just in action. May I joyfully give of myself as You did for me. Amen.
