April 5th – The Cross and Our Identity
April 5: The Cross and Our Identity
Scripture:
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
 —Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)
Reflection:
The cross not only forgives us—it transforms us. Our old life, marked by sin and self, is crucified with Christ. We now live a new life, defined by His presence within us. The cross changes who we are at the core: beloved, redeemed, and alive in Christ.
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for giving me new life through Your death. Help me live each day aware that I belong to You. Let my identity be shaped by the cross, not by the world. Amen.
